2008 – 2013: Presenter/Instructor – Institute for Adult Learning, Chesapeake Community College.

2009 – 2013: Instituted the “Downtown Lunch and Learn” Program with Bishop Joel Marcus Johnson. For the last three years Bishop Johnson and I offer a graduate level lunch and learn program during the week in downtown Easton. This gives interested individuals who can not attend our classes at the College an opportunity to study and learn in a more convenient location.

Initiated the Community Hanukkah Menorah Lighting.

Since Hanukkah 2008, Temple B’nai Israel has hosted a community menorah lighting ceremony. Each year the Congregation invites the entire Easton community to experience the lighting of the menorah. Friends from the clergy community along with members of the County and City government are invited to light one of the eight lights on the menorah.

Temple B’nai Israel February Lecture Series: Since 2008, each Wednesday in February, we invite the Easton community to attend this series of lectures which focuses on current, contemporary and, at times, controversial subjects. Many recognized authorities and well known individuals from our State as well as from our Nation have presented their views and ideas with the people of B’nai Israel and Talbot County.

2011: A member of The Fredrick Douglas Celebration Committee.

Delivered the sermon at the Community Interfaith Worship Celebration which was a part of the “Douglas Returns” statue dedication June, 2011.
